About Us
The UGA Women’s Hockey Program was founded in 2021 by Hannah Knight. The team played its first game on October 14, 2022 against the Auburn Tigers. The team is currently an independent organization, although will be looking to join a conference for the 2023-24 season.

The University of Georgia was founded in 1785 and is considered to be the “Birthplace of Public Higher Education.” UGA is a public, 4-year institution located in Athens, Georgia which is 60 miles from Atlanta. UGA is home to 129 different majors, along with 250 Graduate Degree programs.
About Athens
Athens, Georgia is located in North East Georgia, about an hour and a half from Downtown Atlanta. Almost 130,000 residents call Athens home. UGA students can enjoy a plethora of dining options in downtown, as well as surrounding areas. The Classic City has various event venues such as the Georgia Theater as well as the Classic Center, which is in the process of building an arena set to open in 2023.
